Morton Wealth is currently looking to add a new Design Specialist to our growing team. We are an RIA that manages roughly $3 billion in assets across 1,200+ families. Our investment approach is distinctly not “Wall Street” as we are willing to look beyond traditional investments if we feel that alternative investments can more closely match our investment philosophy of risk management, true diversification and cash flow. In addition to our unique investment approach, we also offer comprehensive financial advice that aligns with traditional CFP® education as well as behavioral finance.
In this role, you will be instrumental in creating and distributing branded content and marketing materials across various platforms, ensuring all creative assets meet our high standards for branding voice, visual identity, and design excellence. As the visual brand steward, you will collaborate with advisors and internal departments to design materials that support business development, client retention, and internal communications. Strategic and Growth Responsibilities
- Contribute to and implement the creation and distribution of all branded content and marketing materials across platforms and channels—including digital, print, website, email, and social media—to enhance the firm’s visibility and credibility.
- Ensure all creative assets (external and internal) meet the "Morton standard" for branding voice, visual identity, and design excellence.
- Serve as the visual brand steward for Morton, ensuring brand guidelines are applied consistently across all platforms and content types.
- Collaborate with advisors and internal departments to design materials that support business development, client retention, and internal communications.
Design Responsibilities
- Design and produce a wide variety of high-quality branded materials including but not limited to:
- Social media graphics
- Client-facing documents (presentations, reports, PDFs, guides)
- Internal marketing materials and event collateral (PDFs, signage, flyers, invites)
- Email campaigns, newsletter layouts and advisor articles
- Digital ads, web banners, and video thumbnails
- Miscellaneous print collateral
- Create design systems, templates, and reusable assets that increase efficiency and ensure brand consistency.
- Manage the visual identity of the firm across all external and internal content, providing art direction and brand enforcement.
- Collaborate with marketing leadership to concept and execute creative campaigns that align with company goals and resonate with key audiences.
- Stay current with design and marketing trends, and proactively suggest creative ways to visually differentiate the brand.
Writing and Editing Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the marketing team to craft clear, compelling content that aligns with business objectives and enhances the visual storytelling.
- Tailor written and visual content for each channel and audience, ensuring consistency in tone, voice, and visual presentation.
Additional Responsibilities
- Conduct quarterly brand and content audits, plus competitive design benchmarking to identify opportunities for improvement and to ensure Morton’s materials remain innovative, relevant, and differentiated.
- Determine the best combination of formats (e.g., video, blog, social media, reels, PDFs) and visual treatments to tell the brand’s story.
- Brainstorm and pitch design-led content ideas that align with campaign objectives, SEO data, and audience research.
- Collaborate with our editorial content calendar in Trello, ensuring all creative deadlines are met.
- Participate in our monthly marketing meetings to highlight top-performing content, design wins, and opportunities for creative growth.
Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or related field
- 2–4 years of experience in graphic design and content marketing, preferably within a professional services or financial brand
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and Canva; familiarity with video editing tools (e.g., Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar) and web design tools and email platforms (e.g. MailChimp, Hubspot, Webflow) is a plus
- Strong design portfolio demonstrating versatility across digital and print.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, project management and creative collaboration skills
- Ability to take ownership of projects from concept to completion
