Client Relationship Specialist

Advisory
Full-time · $72,000/yr - $85,000/yr
Calabasas, CA

Morton Wealth is looking for a detail-oriented and people-driven Client Relationship Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time, in-office role that serves as a foundational entry point into our organization — and for the right person, a launching pad toward a career as a Wealth Advisor.

We are an RIA that manages over $3.5 billion in assets across 1,200+ families. Our investment approach is distinctly not "Wall Street" — we are willing to look beyond traditional investments when alternative approaches more closely match our philosophy of risk management, true diversification, and cash flow. In addition to our unique investment approach, we offer comprehensive financial advice that aligns with traditional CFP® education as well as behavioral finance.

At Morton, we believe that great advisors are built over time, and that the best place to start is by understanding how our firm works from the inside out. As a Client Relationship Specialist, you'll develop a deep familiarity with our clients, our processes, and our investment philosophy — the kind of foundation that makes for exceptional advisors down the road.

Daily Responsibilities include:

Account Maintenance and Document Preparation

  • Execute client account requests and communicate timing expectations to the advisory team
  • Prepare, submit, and track documents with custodians including Schwab and Fidelity, ensuring accuracy and timely completion

Client Correspondence

  • Prepare and send DocuSign envelopes and follow up with clients as needed
  • Monitor the Client Services email inbox and respond to correspondence in a timely manner
  • Attend monthly client meetings to better understand the context behind client requests

Team Coordination

  • Communicate workload capacity with your Team Lead and set clear expectations for completion
  • Participate in weekly team huddles and quarterly retreats
  • Contribute to quarterly OKR completion and updates

Personal Growth and Development

  • Attend and participate in weekly education sessions
  • Pursue outside continuing education, including working toward your CFP
  • Actively engage with available development resources to grow your knowledge of wealth management

Who You Are:

You're the kind of person who takes pride in getting the details right — and who also lights up in conversation. You're curious about people, comfortable navigating complexity, and you have a natural ability to explain things clearly to others regardless of their background or experience level. You don't shy away from difficult conversations, and you know how to build trust over time.

You're drawn to this role not just because you're organized and dependable, but because you're genuinely interested in financial planning and wealth management — and you see this as the beginning of something bigger.

Qualities We're Looking For:

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in everything you produce
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities without losing focus
  • A natural communicator — someone who can translate complex ideas into clear, accessible language for a wide range of audiences
  • Genuine curiosity about clients and a desire to understand their needs and goals
  • The interpersonal instincts to build trust, navigate sensitive conversations, and make people feel at ease
